6:8. அக்காலத்தில் சீரியாவின் ராஜா இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ணி, இன்ன இன்ன ஸ்தலத்திலே பாளயமிறங்குவேன் என்று தன் ஊழியக்காரரோடே ஆலோசனைபண்ணினான்.

6:8. ஆராமின் அரசன் இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராகப் போரை ஆரம்பித்தான். வேலைக்காரர்களோடும் படை அதிகாரிகளோடும் ஆலோசனை கூட்டம் நடத்தினான். அரசன், "இந்த இடத்தில் ஒளிந்திருங்கள். இஸ்ரவேலின் படைகள் வரும்போது தாக்க வேண்டும்" என்றான்.
